We’re currently in the process of implementing a new feature into DesktopCatcher. The WhoIs drop catcher will be using a third party whois server to check for availability. Once a domain drops and the whois comes back as unregistered we’ll automatically register that domain with any of three different registrars (Currently Internet.bs, DynaDot or Enom). This will give people the opportunity to increase theirs odds of drop catching even more good domains as this new method will be faster then some of the current options inside the software. When using this feature you won’t be able to use the same registrar as an API drop catcher. Check back soon for more updates about this and other features!
